Barack Obama Directs All Federal Agencies to Have an API @ API Evangelist
For some reason, I’m extremely excited about the prospect of government API’s of any sort.
My friend machuga(who’s awesome) takes a swing at hacking his wedding escort cards with Laraval, a new PHP(which I hate) framework for developing web applications. He does a pretty great job of showing you how to set up a simple MVC on a dev environment using a fresh install of Laravel. Show him some love!
John Mueller explains how google uses sitemap.xml
A brief(but informative) SO answer on how Google uses your sitemap to help crawl your site, and what sort of things you can learn about the map of your site URL’s by generating your own sitemap. Thanks for the great answer John!

SkullSecurity » Blog Archive » Battle.net authentication misconceptions

Backbone Fundamentals by Addi Osmani
This is ‘Developing Backbone.js Applications’, an (in-progress) book about the Backbone.js framework for structuring JavaScript applications. It’s certainly one of the best resources I’ve found yet(you can get the early O’Reilly edition here). I’m excited to be using new MV* technologies from the JavaScript community, and Backbone is by far one of the most established, active, and documented.
RubyMotion - Ruby, for iOS
Ruby has had some faux iOS options for a while. MacRuby has been the only real “Ruby” option for some time now, if you don’t count building a Ruby backend to serve some kind of Titanium or PhoneGap’d project. Now the creator of MacRuby took things a step further and has written RubyMotion. I’m really excited about what this project might mean, but really need to see some cannon and real-world examples before there’s any kind of investment. The $150 price tag to adopt offends my sensibilities, but I can’t wait to hear about other people trying it!
